I like building things. I don’t like spending my time holding together the paperwork around them.

There is always something small waiting. A receipt. A long email. An invoice. A detail somebody needs by Monday.

The individual jobs aren’t the whole problem. It’s having to remember how they connect and when to come back to them.

Martin and I had tried AI tools and automations ourselves. The potential was obvious. So was the work of turning the pieces into a system we wanted to use every day.

We started building Leiko in January 2026.

One of the moments that made it feel useful was surprisingly ordinary. Leiko found travel receipts in my email. Previous invoices helped it suggest which client they belonged to. I approved the allocation.

Later, when I asked for the client’s monthly invoice, those expenses were included in the draft.

That is the direction we’re building toward: a partner that understands the business well enough to help with the work, and keeps the decision with me.

I use Leiko on my phone and at my desk. We are still preparing for external launch, and there is more to build.

But this already feels like a different relationship with my own business.

I’m still running it. I’m getting some backup.
