Acceptable Use & Fair Use Policy
This Acceptable Use and Fair Use Policy (“Policy”) governs use of the Leiko mobile application, website, APIs, and related services (the “Service”) operated by Keidas AI Oy (“Keidas AI”, “we”, “us”). It forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.
Leiko's paid plans are intentionally sold without hard message caps: we want you to run your business through Leiko without watching a meter. This Policy is what makes that possible — it defines the boundary between normal business use, which is always welcome, and patterns of use that degrade the Service or its economics for everyone else.
1. Plan Allowances
1.1 Free plan
The Free plan includes an allowance of 240 assistant messages per calendar month. The counter covers messages you send to the assistant (confirmation taps and system events are not counted) and resets at midnight Europe/Helsinki time on the first day of each month. When the allowance is reached, conversational features pause until the next month or until you upgrade; the rest of your data remains fully accessible.
1.2 Starter and Pro plans
Starter and Pro plans have no fixed message cap and are instead subject to fair use as described in Section 2. The overwhelming majority of subscribers will never notice this Policy exists.
2. Fair Use
Paid plans are designed and priced for interactive use by one person running one business (or the small number of business entities supported by your plan). Use is fair when it is human-driven: you or your team members conversing with the assistant, processing your own receipts, invoices, email, calendar, and tasks in the course of operating your business.
Indicators that use is no longer fair include, without limitation:
- Sustained message volumes many multiples above typical business use (as a guide, sustained use above roughly 10× the median paid subscriber)
- Programmatic, scripted, or automated submission of messages, or use of the Service as a general-purpose AI API or backend for another product
- Sharing one subscription across multiple people, businesses, or clients beyond what your plan includes (for example, an accountant running many client firms through a single personal subscription)
- Reselling, sublicensing, or otherwise commercializing access to the Service or its AI outputs as a service to third parties
- Bulk-generating content unrelated to operating your business (for example, using the assistant as a free-form content farm)
- Deliberately structuring requests to maximize model cost, or probing, benchmarking, or extracting the underlying AI models, prompts, or safety systems
3. Prohibited Uses
The general prohibitions in Section 7 of the Terms of Service apply in full (unlawful use, fraudulent financial documents, violating third-party rights or data protection law, reverse engineering, interfering with the Service, unauthorized automation, and similar). In addition, you may not:
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications (spam), including via connected email or invoicing features
- Use AI features to generate content that is illegal, deceptive, or intended to defraud counterparties, tax authorities, or other third parties
- Attempt to bypass plan limits, entitlement checks, or usage measurement (including by cycling free accounts)
- Use outputs of the Service to train, fine-tune, or improve a competing machine-learning model or assistant
4. How We Monitor and Enforce
We measure aggregate usage and cost-to-serve per account. We do not review the content of your conversations for enforcement purposes except where strictly necessary to investigate a suspected violation of this Policy or the Terms, or where required by law.
If an account's usage appears inconsistent with this Policy, we follow a graduated process:
- 1. Contact. We reach out to the account email, describe what we are seeing, and work with you to find a suitable arrangement (often this is simply a conversation about your use case, or a move to a plan that fits it).
- 2. Throttle. If extreme usage continues, we may temporarily slow or limit AI features for the account while other features remain available.
- 3. Suspend or terminate. For sustained abuse, deliberate circumvention, or any prohibited use under Section 3, we may suspend or terminate the account as provided in the Terms. Where the violation is not deliberate abuse, we give prior notice and an opportunity to correct.
We reserve the right to skip steps for egregious cases (for example fraud, spam, security probing, or resale), and to take immediate action where required to protect the Service or other users.
5. API and Automation
Automated access to the Service (bots, scrapers, scripted clients, or unofficial API use) requires our prior written consent. If you have a use case that needs programmatic access — integrations, migrations, or bulk imports — contact us at hello@leiko.ai; we would genuinely like to hear about it.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service and its plans evolve. Material changes are announced at least 14 days in advance through the Service or by email, consistent with Section 15 of the Terms. The current version always lives at leiko.ai/aup.
